One leaf at a time,
and just like that,
i have turned the page,
and let an entire season age.
Knowing the pattern,
i tuck fall in a corner,
pull a blanket over,
let it rest for a year.
Welcome June with a hug,
make space for it to stay,
reading one line a day,
enjoying what the new has to say.
